Parts

How many copies?

Transfer gets progressively lighter further down the set, so four parts needs a firm hand or a ballpoint rather than a fine pen.

2-part · DuplicateWhite → Yellow — One copy for the customer, one for you. The everyday choice for invoices, receipts and delivery notes.
3-part · TriplicateWhite → Yellow → Pink — Customer, office and driver — or customer, accounts and job file. The standard for job sheets and works orders.
4-part · QuadruplicateWhite → Yellow → Pink → Green — Where a fourth copy has to go to a separate department, subcontractor or site file.

Finishing

The options that change the job

Sequential numbering

Red or black, printed on every part of the set, from any start number. Tell us your last used number and we continue from there.

Perforation

Usually on the top copy so the customer keeps a clean tear-out and the rest stays bound. Can be applied to any part.

Binding

Head-glued and taped, with backing board and writing shield for books. Head-glued only for pads.

Printed backs

Terms and conditions, guarantee wording or a signature block printed on the reverse of any part.

Sets per book

50 and 100 are the usual counts. Fewer sets per book means more books for the same total.

Packing

Boxed in the quantities you want them, so branches or vans can be handed a box each.

Prices, minimums and turnaround

TODO: confirm price list, minimum order quantities and lead times — left out deliberately until confirmed rather than published as an estimate.
