Print-ready artwork is quickest. But a photo of the book you already use is enough for us to set it up, and a proof comes back before anything goes on press either way.

| Item | What we need |
|---|---|
| File format | Press-ready PDF is ideal. AI, EPS and high-resolution artwork files are fine too. |
| Bleed | 3mm on every edge where colour runs to the trim, otherwise white slivers appear after cutting. |
| Safe margin | Keep text at least 5mm inside the trim, and further from the glued head edge. |
| Colour | Supply in CMYK. RGB files will be converted, and bright RGB colours can shift noticeably. |
| Resolution | 300dpi at final size for logos and images. A logo pulled off a website is rarely good enough. |
| Fonts | Outlined or embedded, so nothing substitutes on our system. |
Sequential numbering needs clear space, usually top right. Artwork that fills the corner has to be moved before printing.
Nothing important should sit on the perf. Signature boxes and totals in particular need to sit clear of it.
The top strip is bound. Keep headings far enough down that they are not lost into the glue and tape.
Blank layout templates with bleed, safe margins, numbering box and perforation line marked up for each size.
TODO: add downloadable A4 / A5 / A6 / DL templates — not linked until the files exist, rather than publishing a dead download button.
Artwork, a photo of your current book, or just a logo and a rough idea. We will take it from there.
